My map has treelines, they are made out of detailed brushes, at each side. Its a foggy map. However im able to see treelines at each end of the map no matter how low i set farplane settings. Its like in this picture. The treeline can be seen through terrain.
Ive tested farplane_cull 0 & 1 but theres no change in the game imo. Any other tips how to make treelines to show up smoothly?
i don't have an answer kia other than to say that treeline looks good like it is in the image. if you drive through valley forge national park in the winter mornings when there's a fog it looks just like that in the far distance .
did you use nodraw at all ? these photo's, it's hard to tell what you're talking about ........... adjusting the farplane may help ? farplane 1500 or less maybe ? don't know how big map is.
I would say it is. The problem is, the farplane effect is constant along the whole length of a brush.
For example. You have a grey farplane at 1000 units and a brush that is 2000 units long. You stand at one end, the other disappears in the fog. But! The whole brush is grey, because a part of it is already far enough to be affected by fog. Is this understandable?
