Night and Moon

I want to make night, but not blackness everywhere, I want the player to see averything but it should be night. And I want moon also. I do not want to place light everywhere - it's good 4 buildings, but not 4 outdoors. Plx help.

one of the sky textures.......1_1 1_1a 1_2....etc. gotta find it yourself.
Don't think you will be able to find a "black" sky with moon in radiant, although somebody somewhere had made a custom sky a while back. Don't know where you will find it though.

use the rasky sky - it is with Geschutes map in my map pak 3

Also you can use sunlight but make the color of the sunlight blueish . There are SP missions done at night don't remember which one(s) .

Algiers multiplayer is a night time map. Uses africanight sky.
Worldspawn values for that map (mohdm7):
Key / Value
ambientlight 15 15 15
suncolor 30 29 20
sundiffuse 1
sundirection -35 130 0
sunflarename none

Single player map m1l2b (disable the opel trucks and bomb the tanks in the motorpool) also uses same worldspawn values and the africanight sky.

Those are all stock skies. I highly recommend you use a custom sky for your map - something different then a stock sky. The geschutz sky is perfect for a castle setting. Night sky with a full moon and floating mist.

if you can find the city nights final or airport assault map, use their custom sky, comes with free full moon.

I do not like city nights, cause I'm interested only in World War 2 scenes of games, because World War 2 is my life passion

what he said was to remove the sky "texture" ( custom ), from his map and use it in your's. after removing that, you can discard the map if you want.

like it or not, you'd only need either one of those for the sky textues and sky script .
