Invisible Texture

Post by Gary Goat »

I'm in the middle of making a map and one of my walls has decided to turn invisible on me (well one side of the wall actually). Its perfectly visible in radiant but seems to get lost when i complie and play the map :?

I've tried snapping the wall to grid and i've deleted it an redrawn it but still one of its faces is invisible. Any ideas?

Well m8 Ive answered a similar reply to a similar question just now....Have you "cloned"/used "rotate"?
I tend to think without knowing that you have copied "space to duplicate"
a brush or two...this can cause probs..
If you haven't then basicaly....and this is going to sound harsh but people try to take shortcuts when they cant afford to.....not casting aspersions upon your goodself but with all due respect its either that you have rotated the brush,cloned/copied it or some other simple mistake that of course is not apparent to you.
As said m8 I'm not the know all of the mapping world but I know a bit and in any way I can assist then I will.
Good luck.

The wall face is probably sitting on vis boundry. Try moving that wall face off its current grid line. It may also be how the wall is constructed, so try beleveling the corners of the room as well. This is a common problem--search the forum for other solutions.

It could be just off the grid select it and press control G with grid size 1 . Always do that after rotateing .
