Commandos: Strike Force

Post by At0miC »

Remember the good old commandos games? In march there will be a release of a new commandos game. However the gameplay has been changed this time, it's an amazing first person shooter!
The idea is still the same, you have to do objectives, try to not make too much attention etc. just like in the old games. You can switch between your characters while playing(green beret, spy and sniper), each got their own special skills and tools.

Check the trailer & screenshots out: http://www.eidos.co.uk/gss/strikeforce/main.html

You can also download a demo with 2 missions and it's really awesome. I really recommend you to have a look on this one.

Hmmm, I only see one very short mission in the demo. And, it is just an arcade style shootout. Maybe I missed something because the download is over 600Mb and the installed demo is only 289Mb.

Oops, my bad. At0miC is right about there being two missions. I wish they had included a training mission as well, ha ha.

You are also right, Lizardkid--BEL was the best. Even though I once ran a major fan site (Commandos: MI6), I never even bothered to play Commandos 3--after seeing how bad Commandos 2 turned out.

This wasnt that bad, i sort of cringed when i swung the mouse around and felt the mouse lag, and saw how bad the overall graphics are, but besides those it's pretty cool. it has some nice classic features and some nice new ones, i was sort of turned off by the idea of it being an FPS, but they did it fairly well.

5/10 for me i guess. the pitiful graphics are near-inexcusable, the mouse lag made me check my drivers, but the sounds, switching, and such are all pretty good.

Commandos 3 was ok....I tried the new Demo and to me it plays much like MOH with a few differences. All in All I liked the graphics, but from the Demo's standpoint it wasn't much to get excited about. Perhaps the full version will be better. I just don't know if I'll get it.
