This is really a cool desktop progam.
Its a 3d desktop which you build, hold down left mouse and fly around...too cool.

such the critique,...why use skins at all?Rookie One.pl wrote:IMHO bloatware. Shiny, useless gadget.
Its all "bloatware" we should all go back to monochrome.
(blōt?w?r) (n.) jargon Software that has lots of features and requires considerable disk space and RAM.
This progam is VERY small and requires little RAM usage and does not write to your registry....... so your wrong!
What I thought was cool about it was you can use moh textures/models on your desktop.

well i havent tried it... but...
I cant see this making my use of the computer easier in any way.
spiffier maybe, but I get by with using the taskbar exclusively for 90% of my programs, and I have hmm like 3 icons on my desktop(jsut havent gotten around to deleting them)... so im not sure exactly what id be navigating for in 3d, or why id want to hehe.
it is cool though, im jsut not sure about practical.

i recently also did this. i have 8 main desktop iconsSplaetos wrote:well i havent tried it... but...

- cpu icon
shortcut icon for folder holding all frequently used program's shortcut icons
my documents shortcut icon
images folder shortcut icon
shortcut to program files icon
shortcut icon to music folder
shortcut icon to mohaa main
recycle bin icon
right now i'm more worried about this ''whining/run up/wind down'' sound coming from my cpu. not sure if it's the fan for my vid card or the fan for the cpu (hoping it's not my hard drive spinning up). sure it's annoying because it's constant whenever my cpu comes out of hibernation but the part i'm worried about is that if i listen closely enough i swear it's talking to me. hearing a whispery ''slay the jv and the kingdom is yours'' day in and day out can't be good. that and it would seem my bandwidth has fallen to 108.5 kbps with DSL.
i'm not f****** angry, i'm from philadelphia .

does having alot on your desktop slow your computer down?.........when i first installed windowas and MOHAA it was blazing fast pings........now I barly get a 120 ping and when the action is all hot with lots going on it bogs down so much I can't play........thinking of redoing my computer again so i can play but is there a connection with what is on my desktop and speed..........I have ALOT on my desktop..........ALOT
spyware and/or other programs, other connections to same router etc will slow down your connection speed... if the game is slow for non ping related issues it can be because resources are tied up... I dont tihnk icons are a huge deal mostly, but every diagnostic tool ive seen laways reccomends not loading a desktop image at all... though i cant see that having a huge impact on my performance heh...

no spyware problems, i use an anti-spyware, spyware removal, bazooka.exe and other programs to make sure i don't have anything taking a siesta in my hard drive. just checked the wife's cpu bandwidth and it's only slighty higher (205.kbps), her's is the 'master' but then again, this is dsl and i'm in san antonio where if so much as sprinkles a little rain, the city's infrastructure shuts down.Splaetos wrote:spyware and/or other programs, other connections to same router etc will slow down your connection speed... if the game is slow for non ping related issues it can be because resources are tied up... i remember seeing something like this that tltrude posted... but it was a bix you controlled by holding scroll wheel down and whizzing the mouse around, it spun the box and gave you various perspectives of the 6 sides, allowing you to click whatever you could see... 'twas ownage.
your desktop is nil compared to other programs, services, virii, and windows working at once on your comp.
on a completely related note the link is broken for me.

xp slow down
Talking about Windows XP slowing down over time, I recently read an article about that problem. It is caused by ever increasing amounts of garbage in the registry. Just cleaning the registry will help a lot. But to speed it back up requires optimization--getting rid of duplicate entries. The best program I have found for doing that is "XP Repair Pro 2006".
