The Sky Is The Limit 1.9 Released!

Completely out of the blue this day brings you the long awaited The Sky Is The Limit v1.9! The Sky Is The Limit is a huge flyable plane mod for MoH:AA, with 7 different flyable aircraft, 3 gametypes and 3 maps. I could talk about it a lot more, but it's best to just have a look.

There's 3 different files, the Full package is what you usually need. The Dedicated server files is a smaller pk3 for quick uploading to dedicated servers. The Source files are the map source files and a few other thingies.

Make sure to read the included readme file for controls and a few hints to get started.

wtf, i get no credit for pushing this release. dude you've gotten hard since the original sky's the limit. is the fps bug fixxed ? meaning can a server have more than 4 planes per team in the air at a time ?
i'm not f****** angry, i'm from philadelphia .

Looks fantastic JV, gave my brother my copy of mohaa, he completed single player a week or so ago, gonna have to reclaim my game now :)

ummm im far too lazy to mess with it at the moment, but im sure its great!

keep floggign that dead horse JV! who knows, with all the dissapointing games out there, perhaps your mod can be solely responsibly for putting MOHAA back on top ;)

A full server everyday is hardly a dead horse.

JV - Do you think the new .bsps for Sky can be retrofitted to the old version for sh and bt ?

ok no more stealing jv's thread~ dead horse is a joke, mohaa is a niche now, as all older games are suffered ot be... I like anything that draws interest to moh:aa, but moh:aa isnt suddnely goin to outpace bf2 servers or anything... thus the new world order, which pretty much sucks.

for example, it probably takes the same amount of people to get both our moh:AA rifle server and bf2 ranked server rolling... the difference of course being, bf2 servers have a minimum players to start round, so SHOULD be much harder to jumps start (of course all depends on variables)


On another disturbing news front... Ive had the wierdest damn dreams the last few nights... and just a few hours ago... this mod made a cameo... I dunno why but i mentioned its name to someone.

What kind of freaky subliminal mind control are you working into those news posts JV?? -and why the hell didnt you put it in when my map was in an article!

There is one game that is still going strong even today and that's Operation Flashpoint. There is only so much that can happen with moh that I grew tired of making maps as well as playing. Flashpoint on the other hand seems to be never-ending with constant mods,addons being made. I can't wait til Armed Assault gets released. Should be pretty good.

I would just like to give a big thank you to jv_map and all who contributed to this most excellent mod.

I was disappointed to learn that jv had stopped by to play on our server while I was away... maybe next time I can shoot you out of the sky!


One question... maxrate... Ours was set to 15000 and there was some intermittent lag occurring... I changed it to 10000 and it seemed to get better. 6-8 total in server can play lag free now. Question is... Is there a more optimum maxrate setting for the server? 8000?
