Undercover in Multiplayer

I've read the Undercover tut and was wandering if this can be adapted to work in a MP OBJ map?

Have an officer uniform that an allied player can pick up and thus be
in disguise.

Setting up the uniform and triggers isn't a problem I was wondering how
to switch the undercover player's model so he appears to other players as
a german officer in the game after picking up the uniform.

Can this be done? if so how?
