If anyone has a sec, do me a favor....
I just (finished?) changing massive amounts of code on my err clan's(hate that word) site.
Its all php/html being generated by a numbed of cached xml feeds. No flash or anything, its mostly for sortign and displaying tidbits of info, ts/server monitors, sortable bf stats. Both main tables in the center are sortable up and down, for different aspects.
Its still in a nuke, cause im semi illiterate when it comes to databases, and the nuke is what we threw up couple years back when we had to change sites. Plus, im a bit too lazy at the moment to code it all from start, although technically, it wouldnt be much more work then the thousands of lines of php it too kto modify it =)
Anyway, things always looks different in other borwsers as well as other monitors, so Im curious how it looks to other people =(
Also curious is the navigation is obvious enough(it should be now) with no left hand index area.
The 'History' and 'Rules' links are very old, and need updating as a sidenote.
Anyway, if anyone feels like giving me a bit of feedback, my name sig is a link to it.

all looked fine to me and i'm using FF latest version for browsing with my resolution set at 1152X864.
btw, i usually skin for IFzone but have someone wanting me to skin a css for php, do they have free forums i can use as a test (please don't ask me to download php because it's free, i did and i haven't been so confused since the invention of the zipper) . just need somewhere to test out css/theme for a php based board.

19
I have a 19" monitor using 1280 x 1024 res, and it looks fine to me. There is a 1.5 inch black border on both sides. I use Microsoft Internet explorer 6.
I modified the nuke to fix the size because scaling content can often suck(in my opinion), hence if your resolutiion is higher then 1062 youll see black sides when maximized.
I want a second monitor... but its a bit down on my to do list =/ Tell the truth, I would like two new monitors... a 19" lcd... and a 19"(at least crt) unless I find a lcd that I really like for graphics... then I can definately do without the bulk of a crt.
I think im gonna have to ~waste~ 100+ on xp pro... few of my x64 issues are snowballing me at the moment... and my best bet at fixing them is using more 32 bit =(( Networking workedo n xp but never gotten it to work on x64, which is linked kinda ot my latest issue with a modem usb interface... and cant get a microphone to work right to save my life... (I think it worked on xp briefly when i had it installed) Of course, all that is compeltely off the topic =)

mic
I have a Dell xps gen3 and there are headphone and mic plugs right in the front panel--nice. With my old computer I had to us a Y cord in the back to get a headphone with mic to work.
64 bit sounds like a hassle, but my guess is that I wont have to deal with it until my next computer. I shutter at the thought of using XP Pro because it would be like XP Home with tons more stuff to go wrong!

In actual practical use, pro is quite similar to home...
pro is supposedly more secure maong other things, but windows isnt terribly secure anyhow...
x64 works fine for some, not fine for others, to me it seems your setup can determine how well it functions...
Networkign data is a compelte blur of nothingness to me, so trying to diagnose why x64 wont network with my computer is like pulling teeth. Eventually I gave up, but now I suspect im having trouble with this USB phone program for similar reasons. 95% of people with x64 just used the wizard(mayeb a coupel tweaks) and networkign worked fine.
Perhaps I should bite the bullet and flash my MB. An earlier version fixed something related to USB, but since ive never had a real problem thusfar... guess ill go check what the if there is a new version. Who knows might help my sound too, problem with flashing your bios is you have to do it right, and it helps to check out how well its going when other peopel flash that bios... I remember one msi bios for a chipset was supposedly completely awful... just having nasty consequences...
Before I do any of that I think Ill try and fish out my top panel mic inputs and hook em into my MB. Im 99% sure it wont work any better, but worth a try for the mic issue I guess.
What im trying to do with the mic is run TS through my onboard SB 24 bit live... while running all other apps through my x-fi. It KINDA works... TS output was a bit poor... but the input just sucks, have to pump up my mic gain to unreasonable levels producing all sorts of bad mojo... And this happens using any mic, with either card, and happened before I even had a second card.
Anyhow, the x-fi was well worth it, even if I never get a mic to work or cant use my onboard for TS... the sound quality is excellent.

Nuts
Believe it or not, some people don't know that TS = Team Speak. Trying to use two sound systems at the same time is just "NUTS". Disable Your on-board card!!! You may need to change a jumper on your MB = Motherboard.
