Lord of the Rings map

I was just wondering if anyone wanted to help me make a single player Lord of the Rings Map. I am thinking Helms Deep, The Mines of Moria or even The battle Of Mount Doom. My e-mail is lordofthebunnys@yahoo.com

It would require a lot of work, terrain, enemies, and LOD terrain has a limited height. And your FPS will decrease.

And for that i have a small trick up my sleeve that i use if i want to make the LODterrain very tall. I can make a tut. So if one of you are willing to put it on the web i will be glad to email you how and what i do to make the LOD terrain big without having limits set on it.

Hey Poo!

Sounds great! I'm currently working on three multiplayer maps that are straight from the movie myself! I have one titled Moria that I want to finish soon for it is the one that I'm the furthest on. I'm testing out certain things and hope to have the maps completed soon. I will probably release them at different times but would like to bundle them together for servers to use in order. I'm also trying to skin Smeagal or Gollum as some would say. I think I spelled that right, but was thinking that it would be cool to have at least one character in the map. We'll see! Anyway, looking forward to your map!

Just wondering how anyone working on LOTR maps are doing..... Not good enough to help with them but definately interested in playing around in them.

I'm currently working on too many projects (maps) and have put my Moria map on hold. I will try to get going on it again here shortly, I was just trying to figure out other aspects of Radiant that I didn't already know like terrain and such that I got sidetracked. Will let you know when I get some screenshots available for viewing! Maybe jv_map , mohaa_rox , or someone here will help me with the scripting in the future to get the map finished? Anyone, anyone, Bueller, Bueller? Anyway, how are you coming on your LOTR SP maps POO ? Haven't heard from you since you posted here. Let us know! We would all like to play a SP LOTR map!!!!

Imagine, gollum having a sniper-rifle, the LOTR would just have about 200 pages

Maybe s.o. should script/modell/don't-know-what swords, bows, battle-axes and so on!

I wanted to skin Gollum somehow but not sure where it would fit. He doesn't walk upright very much and he's pretty short so maybe a player skin would be kinda corny, but, an AI? Now that might be cool. How would you skin an AI to look like Gollum hunched over crawling on all fours? Sounds like a challange!

lol, challenge, pah, i laugh at a challenge, just get the hund skin, and spray it grey, 1 gollum, what more could u ask 4

obviously it will need alot more work, but it's a better base 2 start on instead of a human player, possily not tho as u'll need 2 give it "hand locations" so it knows where the weapon will be held

just a thought really
