Stalingrad error

Post by Devil_Dog »

I am running Spearhead. I recently re-installed it. When Stalingrad comes up in map rotation, I see the loading screen for a second, then I get booted from servers (happens on differant servers). I tried to re-intall game again, same problem.

I have the stock resourse maps, so I tried to just put the .map for stalingrad in main folder, like a custom map...same result.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Sorry if this is the wrong spot for my Q?, seemed to be best place for it.
Thanks for any help!

post the message in the error box that pops up, or if you can , get back into console and post that message.

putting a .map file into mohaa/main will do nothing except add a file to the folder's file count.
i'm not f****** angry, i'm from philadelphia .

I haven't seen an actual error message. I will open consol next time to see if there is a message.

On the "install patch" part, the map that is messing up is the stock Stalingrad map. I don't really see what you mean about a new map in the pk6.pk3, it should be the original map.

I will get back with the consol message.
Thanks.

pak5.pk3 contains maps/dm/mohdm6.bsp ( stock Stalingrad map compiled into a bsp ) pak6.pk3 also contains maps/dm/mohdm6.bsp why because pak6.pk3 was added as part of one of the patches . A bsp file is the playable map you play in the game a .map file is the raw map created in the editor before it is compiled with the compilers into a bsp . A server would be running a bsp file and script for Stalingrad . The server would most likely be patched with the last patch put out for mohaa . If you have not installed the patch the bsp on your computer will not match the one on the server and you will be booted . Here is a link to the patch for mohaa I found with google

http://www.gpdownloads.co.nz/dl.dyn/Files/3008.html

and this one is for spearhead

OK, I have the 20 to 2.11 and the 2.11 to 2.15 installed, I will re-install them just to be sure they installed completely.

Here is the Consol Error message:

ERROR: Client/Server map checksum mismatch: 7d6dcb8b/75ab7014

Then it gives all the Stop sound...ect.
Thanks again for takeing some time to help me out!

You have a different map version from the server. Are you sure you have the 1.11 Allied Assault patch installed?

I don't remember haveing that patch before, I had saved all my patches and stuff on a CD before my re-configure fiasco  , all I had was the 20-2.11 and 2.11-2.15.

But in any case, it works now. Thanks alot guys!!! :!:
