Spell It In Dumb

Post by Gen Cobra »

I need a basic explaination for how scripting works. The tutorials all assume you know wtf you are doing. Tuts say "do this blah blah set keys and values blah blah." I got that part. "then open notpad and write this script." Well where the hell does the script go? Do i just throw it the frock in the maps folder? I need serious help. :x Just some run of the mill explaination won't do. I am a good designer and don't want to half-ass my map scripts. JV? Inn keeper? Rox? Pantera?

Ok, to test your maps before releasing and pk3ing them, create a folder in your mohaa\main directory called "maps". You place your SP maps here. DM maps go into a directory called "mohaa\main\maps\dm" and OBJ maps go into "mohaa\main\maps\obj". Your .scr should be with your map files, e.g bsp, vis, min, prt. If your's a SP map, your .scr and map files should be in mohaa\main\maps folder.

Erm, SP maps are not supposed to be in mohaa\main\maps\dm, should be mohaa\main\maps.

Ok so my scr has to be with my maps bsp and min. So creating ai i need to script them in the scr. Isn't there an easier default way to get enemies in a damn map? my maps are beautifly textured and meticulous detailed but without ai or players they are just only that, fun to look at. I would like to send you a copy of my newest map. Via e-mail. JUNGLEBASE.

also, use mohaatools and its built-in script editor

the editor saves automatically as .scr and everything you type is color coded so you can test out new commands and find errors quickly
