Anyway. :P

You know, come to think of it, communism could be the best system (sic!) if only ALL people with NO EXCEPTIONS were good (no countries, no relligion, no posessions - nothing to kill or die for, share everything - a pure utopia! :P). Too bad we're bound to be evil. :?

*My political views are right-wing. :P

Yes, it is true but,
the commusnism(spelling<me drinkin) that was actually implemented was marked by "classes"( Has bad as India)"" that had Me is better than you, I,m a "party" member, upper-class, middle-class, lower( actual worker( wich communisn was supposed to exalt) class....
Capitolism does pretty much the same.......
Don't make me preach about "true" "socialism"(< if<<< everybody was good(?)(Christian?)(<damn right!) but,,.........
No more "politic" nor other views which may portray any of us in a bad way.......

democracy cant work because lots of people cant get into politics and nobody knows whats good for them, monarchy / despotism wont work because of the obvious problem of insane rulers, communism and theocracy because of the classing issue, and socialism because people are greedy sons of ****es as it is. Councils and Senates (think Rome) were as close as we've gotten to a perfect government.

the problem, in essence, lies in our own greed. every man woman and child has it, and therefore they are unfit to rule. Spreading the corruption amongst various peoples via council/senate fixes the problem nicely, for a couple generations.

maybe we need a digitalist government where computers make all our decisions for us? that'd be cool, depending on how it was made.

Topics split! Yay! :D

@Lizard: you really think Rome had a good government? I don't think so. Present day democratic (or republican, I should say - true, direct democracy does not exist in our world) governmets are pretty much based on Rome's system. Are they good? No, they aren't. And for pretty much the same reasons that all the other systems are not as well.

It's not only greed that f**ks everything up. Sometimes it's the emotions, sometimes it's pure stupidity, sometimes it's just unbiased evil. We humans, are rejectamenta.

Have you seen Enemy at the Gates? The political agent, don't remember his name, before his death said, 'Even if we're all even there still will be something to kill or die for. For example, some of us are rich of love, while the others aren't', and exposed himself so that Koenig could shoot him. I think that's unfortunately very true.

@Tod: well the point about communism is that it is an utopy, like Leszek said. So it obviously cant work in real - which is a pity.

Churchill said something like 'democracy is a bad form of government. but it's the best of all'...

Exactly. :)

@Snake: what's the matter with you, m8? You turn down just about every idea that comes around. :? It's just a discussion, and I expressed my views. If you don't like it, grab your toys and go play in another sandbox instead of criticizing everyone in sight.

rook beat me to the splitting! :'( i was going to when i got back but i find it already split. blast time differences!

Snake, it's actually easier now than ever for one man to polish his political views and revolutionize his government. imagine if you didnt have the net and werent able to broadcast your debates/discussions/views/beliefs to the masses? not to mention what we say here may be viewed by a virtual visionary in the making and influence him. There is no evil in speaking your views.

well yes the truth of hte matter is humans are fundamentally flawed with greed, yet it's only instinct, without it we wouldn't be where we are today (nobody would work, no currency, nothing to work toward, we'd be sludge) without it, and yet it's the one thing above all that impedes our progress as a race. vice of virtue?

our attempts thus far at decentralizing govenment fail because most of hte masses are uninterested in government, as long as it works. besides, the people as a whole have never and will never know what is good for them, regardless of what seems right and good.

So is there no perfect government? far from it. there is always a solution, and it's always completely different from simplistic deduction. perhaps we need a detatched government which takes problems/finances/relations into account and solves them, without ever taking personal hands in the matter. perhaps we leave our leaders in term too long and they are corrupted by the evils that grace our respective countries and need to be cycled out faster, maybe maybe maybe.

cheers to anyone who actually read all that.

And how would you make them not take personal hands in the matter, eh?

Yeah. :) I prefer A Perfect Circle's version, though. ;)

It's not very true, though. There ALWAYS will be something to be jealous of.
