CSG suptract a LOD terrain..

Post by Liberator »

How is it possoble to "CSG suptract" a LOD terrain?

Mine says : "Selected brush did not intersect with any other brushes."
...and then it crashes

-and what is the caulk texture for?

You can only do CSG operations on brushes, not on curves or terrain. It's often best not to use CSG at all, because the result is unpredictable.

Maybe do a search for caulk, it's been discussed a zillion times. Though someone with more patience than me might still answer your question :)

You can only remove 512x512 blocks of LOD terrain by ctrl+shift+clicking on them.

You can delete triangles of lod terrain by editing the facet flags . Do a search for facet you will be able to edit the terrain so that certain triangles of the patches don't show and are not solid .

Caulk

Post by tltrude »

Caulk is used to texture surfaces that players will never see in the game. The game dose not have to draw them, so the FPS (frames per second) for your map goes up -- making the game faster and smoother.
