New Map Coming Soon-KOPM

Post by {†F.E.A.R.†}®Jack Bauer »

For Those Of You who dont know, KOPM Stands For:"King Of Prussia Mall" It is 2 malls right across from each other in Pennsylvania (I think its the biggest mall on the East Coast) This is not a rip off of PKM's The Big Mall, I came up w/the idea long before i knew about that map. This will be my first MOH map though.I know how to use radiant, but how do you make custom 3D objects to put on the map? what program?

It Would Really Help Me Alot,

Moved b/c this is not a news item :)

For moh modeling, you can use:
lightray
milkshape
3ds max 4 or 5 with skl2skx from spearhead SDK

Ofcourse you can make the model in an other modeling program, and convert it to mohaa via any of the above programs.

Only lightray can make proper animations. Unfortunately, the export function doesn't work unless you purchase the program :(

Milkshape is free (well not free but it works without payment :P) and popular for static models :)

P.S. Welcome to .Map 8-)

kid i wouldn't feel you ripped my mall map off unless you took the textures, .map file and scripts , saying it was yours. KoP mall used to be the biggest in the US until the mall of america came along. i believe you are correct about it currently being the biggest on the east coast.

time line, i remember when it was just the plaza and the south side wasn't enclosed. someday if you're all good, i'll regal you all with the story of how uncle PKM used to run the ''underground'' at that mall.

btw, where are you from again, jack ? p-ville right ? either or, good luck with the map, if you need any custom store signs, i've got quite a few and would be happy to make up a couple (ie. Ivan's Horsa & Saddle Shoppe)

for the record, what the mall looked like in my days (south side):

I'm Only Doing The Mapping/Texturing But, My Friend Is doing the modeling. He says it is not letting him save a file as a .skd or .skc . Are stuff in the map like (in city nights the is a plane) is that kinda stuff that is made on a modeling program? and after you make the object how do you place it in the map? this would really help if i knew.

a lot of the ''models'' are really just brushes in CN (ie. the vehicles) i believe the plane in airport assault and the bi pod heavy machine gun in backstreets are the only map models.

I think Cobra made the plane out of brushes as well.
