Missing LOD patch

Post by *GCC*Nigel »

I have an LOD patch on my map and it shows up in unwanted ways after I compile it. I try to delete it, but it's not there. I compile again, and it shows up again, back to the SDK, NOT THERE!!! *Angry

Help please.

Perhaps you have a view filter turned on. The very top of the editor's window (title bar) should say, "Filters: <None>".

One reason the terrain looks different in the game is that "Level Of Detail" is a game option. Setting it low will make the game run faster, but the terrain will be less smooth. In the editor you have scale 1-4, but what you see will almost never match what you see in the game. As a mapper, you should check your terrain at all levels of detail because you want your map to look good no matter what people have set in their game.

There is a terrain tutorial in the docs folder.
