Train sound

Post by geilisch »

Hiya

I was searching a little but could'nt find no answer...

Anyway, I'm gonna scare the crap out of my buddy, So I was thinking I could add the armored train to V2.
I did some spripting and using splinepaths to get the train, then I want to add the sound using a script-origin
I found the file and used the filename veh_train_m6l2b_01 (the sound that made me crap my pants)

The problem is I cant hear it! the scripting is right cuz I tried plane5.

Then I discovered every sounds has an "alias" or sumthing..blabla..

Anybody know the filename for this sound?

thx in advance

an alias is a quick way for the game to know which sound you want, and an alias has no extension (.wav). You can search the m6l2b script for the train sound and just copy/paste the line that makes it play into your script.

if the sound is in MOH, you dont need to make an alias for it.

That train sound is for singleplayer only. So, you will need a "work around" to get it working in multiplayer. There are tutorials for that.
