Yeah. It's sad they do this.

To tell the truth, I don't give a fish about all these magazine girls, they're like barbie dolls. They never really appealed to me, they're too skinny and artificial.

son, you'll go very far in finding yourself the ideal rook woman. and that's a compliment. i also hate ''sticks''. more curves on a woman, the more journies to take, the more places to explore .

i dont mind them, but they're skin deep. i'm far from opposed to having a woman with some cosmetics, but when that's all she is it just doesnt appeal.

i mean makeup does generally improve a woman's looks, but if she puts too much on it sorta overdoes it.

Makeup is a concession to a shallow society. Its kinda the borderline between decadence and sycophancy... Like take fashion as the other side of the border.... while its decadent, and compeltely unecessary to survival, in large part, its about the person who wants it liking it themselves. Of course, there is also a large percentage of it that exists to conform to society, to look good for others. That is the split... make-up, which serves the pursuit of the imaginary perfect woman, is in larger part about pleasing others, then pleasing oneself.

If you find someone attractive...

A) you should be hoping you will be seeing them often without make-up ;)

B) if her make-up matters tremendously after a certain point, it is because you are also quaking under the influence of society; in essence afraid of what others will think of you based on your association with a women who is not conforming to the standard of valueing how society thinks she should look.

Dont get me wrong... I dont think cosmetics are a bad thing in total... the repulsion at a choice to not want to wear them on the other hand, is.

it's not so much that it matters tremendously, because it matters more to them than men. They're not always trying to impress men, it's a way of showing off their richness and make other women jealous. It's like extensive hairstyles and implants, that doesnt turn anyone on, but it makes other women jealous.

After all, you're not buying the girl in the picture, you're buying the product.

I'd have to disagree.... women dont feel compelled to wear cosmetics or have cosmetic surgery for other women, nor themselves, at root.

I think its all about making themselfs feel good rather then others feel bad that they dont have it. I know if (and a big IF) i looked good i wouldnt give a rats ass if others wee jelous, in fact i would rather they look good too. Then again, im not a woman.

40 years of dating; starting with the hot nurse who helped deliver me. many a morning while i was in the nursery would arrive with a fresh ''hope to see you in 18 years'' note tucked into my swaddling blanket. she knew even then.

All I know for sure is that I have heard many a beuatiful girl complain about being fat or ugly. And literally millions of guy comments... which believe me, stagger the imagination... hell you'll hear 300 pound guys complain that Movie stars are getting fat.
