Round textures

Post by *GCC*Nigel »

I have a wooden wheel and I want all the grains on the wood to go to the center. Is there a way to make the focus of the texture the center instead of the entire thing?

You will probably have to make a new texture image and shader.

AFTER you use your texture, and with the brush selected

Yes. You need to bring up the surface property inspector, ( s key ), and on the left hand side, down where it says rotation, type something in......... 45deg, 98deg, 271deg, etc, until you get the texcture to fit the way you want.

All sides may not texture correctly. Two sides may be different after making the one you look at first texture properly. In that case, re-select the other two sides, ( cntl-shift-left click ), those two sides, and do the above again....... good luck.

It would be shifting it to put the middle in the middle, rotating it would just spin it around...
