War Dogs were specially trained by the U.S. Marines to search out the enemy hiding in the bush, detect mines and booby traps, alert troops in foxholes at night to approaching Japanese, and to carry messages, ammunition and medical supplies.

Lol, Tom, you do such a great job on relevancy. :P

Sumo, they are not dobermans but German shepherds. ;) They were used in the m6l* (the Return to Schmerzen and Siegfried Line mission) and m2l1* (Scuttling the U-259 or something) maps.

Yeah from the movie bro, it all kinda good cos I have a doberman replacement model I can use for allies, but I dont think they fought in germany. I guess I can do Japanese cenarios for my coop mod.

The Marines used Dobermans in the Pacific due to hotter weather. German Shepards have very thick coats and require alot of water in hot weather. If they over heat and dehidrate they can die.The doberman haveing shorter hair is suited to hot weather better. The U.S. also used Malimutes(huskies) in the Alution* Islands and Alaska.

I don't know if this is true, but I heard a story of the Russians using water fowl dogs to retreive bodies from rivers to scavange ammo and supplies from them.
