I want to replace the Manon player model with an airborne soldier. It works, but in-game, the Manon player model (which looks like an airborne guy) holds her (his) weapon funny. Like, the gun will be floating in the air sideways near Manon's hands, rather than the gun being in Manon's hands like normal, so it looks really weird.
I've replaced other player models (like the Afrikakorps officer with the Afrikakorps NCO) without any such problems.
Is there a way to replace Manon without the gun she holds floating above her hands and pointing to the side?
Replacing Manon Player

All I did was extract the allied_manon.tik from the models/player folder and replace its contents with the allied_airborne.tik from the same folder. I've done this successfully with other models, like how I replaced the allied_pilot.tik with the american_army.tik. In the case of the pilot, even though he's using a different model, he still holds weapons properly.
This floating weapon problem also occurs with the German Worker player model, who I tried to replace with a Kriegsmarine.
This weapons problem effects both Manon's (and other affected player models like the worker's) first-person and third-person views. I also replaced Manon's FPS tiki with the FPS tiki of the Airborne guy, so weapons won't appear in her hands in the first-person view and sounds won't play when weapons are fired.

Well it has to be on the server as well if you want other people to see you as the new character. In your other cases, when you changed your players, the game had no problem.
In this case, manon is shorter and thiner than other players like airborne. So the server you go to still thinks it's manon and that's why the weapon is kinda funky. It's positioning the weapons according to the manon model. Probably the same reason for the german worker.
