Hello mappers,
I'm a mapping beginner and I have a question: what is the average height and width of doors and what is the average height of rooms? (walls)
I hope you can help me.

Re: Average dimensions objects
used to make the initial brush for my doors 112uX64u then hollow out at grid 4 (making the actual door 108uX52u) but now i've gone to 108uX64u.renzkorrelsvenz wrote:Hello mappers,

rooms i start from the exterior at 160-176u which allows for the room and ''crawl space/buffer'' to the second floor . the rooms in stalingrad are at 208u height.
might want to take a look around google for the ' q3cal.exe ' it's a converter for measurements in quake (ie. x feet = x quake units)
i'm not f****** angry, i'm from philadelphia .

Re: Average dimensions objects
it's not really the door. a 112X64u brush hollowed at grid 4 gives me the frame, floor transition and door. basically i just have to get rid of the extra ''door'' . so in the image below, the left brush becomes the right door and frame.Green Beret wrote:Just wondering, But why hollow out a door?PKM wrote: then hollow out at grid 4
