localization files, changing death messages

hello, i have found the localization.txt in pak0 edited to my liking and put in main/global on server. it works...however it only says one message
no matter what weapon or location on the body you shoot, it always says "so and so was blown away by so and so"

i even reverted back to the stock localization file, and still have the same problem....

any ideas??

Did you edit it correctly?
You only changed the second copy of the script right?
When i say second i mean, it shows it twice on 1 line and the second one is the one you change.Put it in a pk3 and save it as zzzzsomething.pk3 in your main folder, Upload it, Restart server, And wallah

{ "in the lower left leg" "in the fibula" }
{ "in the right hand" "in the distal radioulnar joint" }

i also tried deleting the global folder, made the pk3 and tried, and still did not work.... would reinstalling the server possibly be a solution??

also, which file is the more proper to edit, the one in pak0 or pak6

i should also add that i have changed the welcome message and name of teams successfully, that part works, what isnt working is when you do get shot, it only says was blown away by.....unless you are bashed it than says clubbed

Did you restart the server, Maybe you have to runa quit first, Then start the server back up.
If the server has it you wont need it client side to see it.
I would run a quit, And start server back up, If still dont work, You might have a error somewere in there.

yeah, we run tcadmin, so the server is stopped then restarted, there is a restart feature but i prefer stop then start, none of this is being done client side, all server...

like i said though its a mystery because, again portions of the txt work, all of it infact aside from the weapons death msgs.....

i will reinstall the server, see if that has an effect

If not, Try someone else's localization mod and see if theres works.
If it does, Just edit theres to your liking.
