This happens when you try to turn brushes from 2 seperate entities (the world is an entity too) into 1 entity. This confuses the editor somewhat so if you want to do this you should use 'add brushes to entity' (adds selected brushes to non-world entity, i.e. your door) or 'ungroup entity' (adds selected brushes to world entity and discards the door entity).. after 'ungroup entity' you can select your brushes again and turn them into a door without problems (since now all brushes are part of the world entity).

Oh welcome to .Map btw :) Enjoy your stay 8-)

func

In other words, you can't add an origin textured brush to another that is already a func door brush. Easiest way is just to delete both brushes and start over.

thanx for the info that worked but now i have another problem, after i compile and run the game the map crashes to the menu and when i looked at my console after, i found this error msg

ERROR: func_rotatingdoor::setSolidType : SOLID_BSP entity at x1298.00
y-1796.00 z236.00 with no BSP model

so traced down the door the message was reffering to. i played with trying to fix that and going as far as deleting all doors in my map and compile it with no doors :roll: still i get the same error msg.

Whats up??????

please help this of corse has gotta get fixed.

You have an origin brush that has been made into a rotateing door but no door . You may not have had both the origin brush and door brush selected when you made them a rotateing door . You will have to redo it .

Entity info

As bdbodger said, it is a lost origin brush. Go to Edit/Entity Info to locate it.

Also, If you filter everything except entitys it will be easier to see the origin brush.
veiw/filter/ all
veiw/ filter/ (uncheck) entity
