For the leak, go to File > Pointfile and a red line will show you where the "vis" leak is in the skybox.

For the lines, find the "long" bad brush and make it into 2 or more brushes.

You are talking about the look of the used textures?! Then, u should start using them with scale 0.5, which would make them twice as detailed. You can predefine this as the default scale in the preferences.

Try downloading a stock mohaa MP map and open up the map file. It will give you a better idea how their done.

ok i went into edit then preferences and changed it to 0.5 from 1 redid some textures then hit save then opened mbuilder and checked fulldetail then vis fast then lights final and recompiled but it came out looking the same....looks sorta bland with no detail on the bldgs or the trim or anything.....even tried selecting a texture and hitting the make detail button which i have no idea what it does cuz that didnt work either....i saw a SS someone put up but cant find it again of the front of a church with nice detail in the brick but i cant get any detail...even my doors look blurry...any other ideas?

You should post a screenshot of your non-detailled map, so we can better understand your problem.
Reading ur post, I think u might even just have ambient light and neither light entities nor sun light, which would make your map look rather flat as well.

About the settings in mbuilder, you could read this article about advanced compiling, which will explain, that for example fulldetail is a bad idea in general. I personally do
"-blocksize 0" for BSP
nothing for VIS
"-final" for LIGHT
Then, you will find some other nice tutorials here at .map, that u should take a look at.

About the usage of detailled brushes, I strongly recommend this article over at the Rjukan Project. And you surely will find other helpful tutorials there, too.

To edit your textures, when you have the brush/surface selected...press "s". This will bring up a controle menu that you can adjust the texture properties in. Lowering the vert. and horz. scales will give you more detail. If you play with it a while, you should get the hang of it.

Another trick is to make the brush smaller and fit the texture to it then make it bigger again .
