Find/Replace Texture Dialog

Post by *GCC*Nigel »

Anyone know how it works? I tried putting in a replace thing for "mohday2" with "nodraw" and all my textures changed to the Null texture.

Pointless story ahead:
I accidentally selected everything inside my map to make it detail once, then right clicked to use the "make detail" option, but right clicked on the skybox, which I left unselected changing all the textures to mohday2. Needless to say, the undo option failed and I was forced to retexture the entire map. Now I get some bad FPS lag when I run the map and I think it's linked to all the random mohday2 textures on all the odd-unseen sides that are around the map that I never retextured (?).
:End Pointless Story.

You have to use the folder name and the texture name.

Find: sky/mohday2

Replace: common/nodraw

When you select a texture in the texture window (without a brush or face selected), the editor will show you the texture folder/name at the bottom of the screen.

By the way, if you have nothing in the two boxes, or a bad texture folder/name in one or both, it will use "notexture". So, for safty sake, save your map right before you try it. Then you can reload the map, if you don't like what it did.

Hope that helps!
