k, was being told i was an idiot because i didn't know lameron. from tmt ? hell, maybe i do know him.
i'm not f****** angry, i'm from philadelphia .

We at <TWZ> recently started running custom maps on thur and fridays.
I have noticed that a lot of clans r running custom maps now. I went to every site i could find and dl every custom map i could find. Due to a lost hard drive i lost all my old maps. First thing i noticed was most custom maps i found sadly had been basically ripped to sheds...meaning some has missing textures...no loading screens ..no scoreboard pix...the authors names have been removed and the list goes on. I myself thought it as a bad thing since alotta mappers thought there custom maps would never be played that much and now they are being played alot...so...i decided to do something about it. Now before each custom rotation i spend my time fixing all the loading screens...scoreboard pix..missing sounds..we use them in spearhead so scriptmaster doesnt work...AND if i can find the authors name i make sure its shown right below the scoreboard pic....some authors didnt even make loading screens etc...so i made them for them..hope they do not mind lol...also if theres any vehicles that you can walk thru such as i found in Chaos Street by UGC-Thorn i fix that also. I myself feel theres ppl out there that could care less for other ppls hard work then theres ppl that like to see everything corrected. Anyways if more of the custom mappers would make there maps avalible again..the versions before they were shredded i would gladly dl them would save me alotta work! But untill that happens i just keep fixing what i can and make the fixed versions avalible hoping maybe that this corrects the wrongs others have made. Untill next time. Fragon!!

Hey Gold, long time no see.. many (I think most) custom maps are available from sites like http://mohfiles.com .. there you will usually get the original versions, unlike the ripped ones you may find on clan sites.

Thanx jv !!! I been back now with medal of honor for bout 4 months now...had a little vacation lol. But ya know mohaa freaks just cant stay away.Thanx so much for the site i will make sure to download everything there i can get my hands on hehe.Btw did anyone ever make it rain in destroyed viliage without coming thru the roofs...i was thinkin maybe your snowscript could be modified to do that.I did manage to find a recompiled bridge map that i cranked the rain up in and not a drop of rain inside lol.It looks really cool has lots of ladders going to the roofs..The credits says it was done by Lab Rat.I searched here but couldnt find anyone by that name..maybe he did destroyed viliage as well! Oh btw scratch that scripted rain comment about Destoyed Viliage.I handed my 14 yr old son the mohaa source map for it and within hours he handed it back to me and i recompiled it...added exec global/weather to the script...and bam it was raining everywere outside and not inside and hes never worked with mohaa radient untill today.Makes ya wonder why a experienced mapper had not done this yet? We plan on addin some ladders to make access to the roofs and recompiling again.. we will play it on the TWZ server soon.Finally rain in destoyed viliage!!!

Please understand that the custom maps provided on this site were not developed by TMMworld, nor were they modified in anyway by TMMworld.
I am guilty of making some maps playable for my servers when they otherswise would not be played. I apply serverside fixes when possible and hex edits when needed (If the map is of exceptional quality and a few fixes stand in the way of running it on my servers, If the mapper requests me not to then i don't) Also, I do not use PKM maps because i package my own executables.

I apply my serverside gametypes to many custom creations that otherwise may not be interesting or are enhanced by doing so.

I try to introduce new gameplay whereever i can to keep the game alive at TWL. MOH servers falling like flies all around us. If you have anything interesting or remarkable don't wait to long to share it.

lol did you want to use my maps ? TTM seems they are simply offering an alternative download site to maps they enjoy using. this i don't mind. it's the repackaging i mind because scripts may conflict if not repackaged correctly.

I repackage everyything I use on my servers to executables and zips(for mac users) mainly because many of our folks who dont understand pk3 manipulation (lol) would not participate otherwise. This sounds funny but it's true - many don't do custom maps simply because they dont know how to add files to the game or don't have the proper ware to extract.

anyways - file errors occur most often not from repackaging but from not using unique file directories for custom addons, this will likely cause a problem somewhere even if its not repackaged. the most common error i see mappers making is the use of ubersound file - i simply delete them if they do not have a unique name.

Yes I would like to repack some of your maps. I make what we call "the map pak of the month" this pak allways has the same name so new pak removes the old one, this gives us oppertunity to view many maps and by popular demand the favorites are listed and added to permanent pak.

Sometimes we dont change the pak for several months. I pick various themes like right now we are running "MOH revisited" maps. in it is Dangerous Dans "DV" and "Stalingrad" -
Bobzillas "the Hunt" -
Lord Jawa's "Algiers" -
Craig de la haye's "Omaha Doggreen"
Petrov's "stalingrad XL"
and my own revisited mohdm5 "Rainy Park"
Also in rotation is Seere's Renverse (map pak 1)

the rotation is votable with a votable "next map"

PKM map theme would be its own pak "MOH Mobs". Ive also tossed the idea of packing "Metal Gods" with a selection of maiden and priest songs and the hold mod. The team in the lead determines the background music.
