Compiling Times
I've got a problem. My compiling takes 1+ hours and I sent some of my maps to a friend for him to compile. He logs into TS and says he's gonna start compiling, 2 min later, he's finished with my biggest one that took mine at last check 3.4 HOURS to do. I'm wondering, am I doing something wrong? Or is my computer just THAT bad. 3 hours is alot of wasted time, even through the night, I don't feel like waking up just to start a new map compiling... It's a multiplayer map so I set everything I could as Detail to help and there's no AI or anything either.

you could make a .bat file to make a compile overnight, it's essentially what i do with large conversions or compiles. Auto-shuts off the computer after a time.
But yes, check your parameters. -fast, -bounce 0 are the big ones.

I wouldn't worry about it unless your doing a final. -fast is actually pretty good. if you are testing you can bypass the vis and/or light stage by using Tom's trick.
vis
> C:\nofolder\vis_log.txt
light
> C:\nofolder\light_log.txt
from experience - I wouldnt recomend running compiles when you are asleep or away. mohlight runs my machine at 100% resources and if it overheats when your not around you will be in trouble.
