Just a Quick One..

Post by Rich Tea Biscuit »

How does one add a health value to models/Brushes??

I was just trying to get various items to break when shot at, such as static bottles, or a brush I'm using as a ventilation grate - just simple stuff, nothing like the exploding vehicles, etc. I would use func_window, but when shot at, shards of glass fly.. (unless theres a way to remove the shards)

Thankee

EDIT: I tried putting the debristype value to -1, but it just looks a little bit kack when the model/brush vanishes into thin air

In the script, like this:

$mythingsname.health = 25

Or, you can add it with Key/Value to the entity.

Key: health
Value: 25

"func_crate" has wood splinters.

func_crate is better for destroyable objects. You have a large list of debristypes and such to choose from. they're the norm for destroyable objects.
