Map wont work :(

Post by Robi »

Hi, i followed the instructions on how to set up the moh radiant and mbuilder and i followed the compiling tutorial to the wire, but when click on the build button in my mbuilder it goes through the compiling then loads up my moh:aa and the console pops up saying:

-------Sound Initialization Complete ---------------67 ms
Setting up Shaders
Loading invantory...
---- Client Initialization Complete --------- 938 ms
--- Common Initialization Complete --- 1431 ms
Working directory: C:\PRGR~1\EAGAM~1\MOHAA
g_gametype will be changed upon restarting.
^~^~^ Can't find maps/dd.bsp
Can't find map maps/dd.bsp
--------- S_StopAllSounds (stop music) ---------
--------- S_StopAllSounds Complete--------
preforming w2k gamma clamp.
LOCALIZATION ERROR: 'MOHAA Console' does not have a localization entry

How do i get a .BSP ??? Cuz when i compile the map it does not give me one in my maps folder in my main folder of mohaa.

BTW: i am trying to make a SP level, so in the mbuilder i have "Single Player" Checked off for the "Gametype of the map"

Please if anyone has any idea, for helping me please repost. thankyou for your time.

Did you search ur hard drive for *.bsp ?

I have my mbuilder send my bsp's to program files\mohtools

Once you find it drag it over to main\dm

Is your map name all one word "my_test_map"? Also, don't forget to add one "info_player_start" spawn point.

For singleplayer, your .bsp file will need to be in the MHOAA\main\maps folder. A lot of things can make the compilers fail, so here is a way to make logs.

For MBuilder:

You can make seperate logs for all steps, or just the one you need. In Mbuilder, click on "change" and put the additional code lines after your compile options. The space and ">" symbol are important. The text file can have any name you wish.

-v > C:\Documents and Settings\tltrude\Desktop\log_bsp.txt

-v > C:\Documents and Settings\tltrude\Desktop\log_vis.txt

-final > C:\Documents and Settings\tltrude\Desktop\log_light.txt

I have them go to my desktop, so the logs can be trashed easily after looking them over. But, you can have the logs go to any folder you like. Also, when using these logs, the verbos details may not be seen in the DOS window during the compile.
