le village

Post by wacko »

while fiddling around with my map, my mate Tom (aka Hanswurst) wasn't lazy and finished his latest work, levillage (FFA,AA, mid size, ~10 spawnpoints).
We had some fun testing it and so I decided to give it to u.

Here it is: PK3 incl map

Have fun

I like it better than mine

just ran through it and yet another great map. lighting is excellent. plenty of rooms to hide in. access to a couple roofs. ride the waterwheel to get to one roof will be very risky. detail was very well done. fps were pretty good. did find one small bug....ivy coming through a interior wall (SEE ss) . 9/10 .

access to the roofs... means what? there are some roofs u intentionally can get on, but could you get to somewhere u shouldn't?
waterwheel is inside a playerclip, so u ought to be in no danger!?
ivy found and deleted

thanks again for testing

access to some roofs ment that there were a couple less obvious places to get onto some roofs, ie. jumping from window to lower roof. i did not however, find any roofs that would allow the player unintended access to other areas on the map , this includes the one roof that obviously has a player clip half way up .

on the waterwheel, ment it would be dangerous to ride because you're a sitting duck from all the other players.

The map is very good, but have some areas where light cause a black effect on walls...

Umm, there might be some left, even in the latest version online. Strange thing is, that they appear and disappear from one compile to the next without changing anything corresponding :?
So, u can d/l the latest version and give it another try. Maybe this is better...

As I said, it's not my map, and Tom doesn't care
Also, the map-file is included and u can try ur best to solve this problem.

I have some maps that do this - but i like it. Other than aesthetics, is there a reason why these areas should be lightened?

Wacko will these latest additions be found on recycle bin?

@Viper: Hopefully, if I'd get contact to s/o at M-R-U to add it to the bin, because I don't manage it anymore

@mcunha98: Strange, there ought to be the map-file inside the pk3 (and it surely IS in the latest version)
