Gemme your ideas...

Post by Ophisâ„¢ »

Its like writers block.. i just can't come up with a good enough idea.. i want to make an area on my map that 'tests' players.. so kinda like a few puzzles and stuff and if they fail i have a jail set up that they get teleported to. My first idea was to have lots of rooms with 2 doors in each, theres also a question on the wall and each door as an answer,, wrong answers lead you into the jail.. but thats kinda cheesy.... Any ideas guys?

jumping puzzles (that teleport you when you fall), maybe an accuracy range (have targets downrange, you hit the bullseye you pass and a door opens or something), grenade toss, stuff like that.

Or even a race, whoever hits the finish line first wins. That's particularly fun with increased runspeed and low gravity.

you could script a point system into the map (if this was all in one map) and display the winners.

Just some thoughts.

You could use the plungers in my explodingdoor map. If the guy hits the correct one, a doorway blows open. If he hits the wrong one, the floor blows up and he drops into a pit. You would have to make the correct plunger random -- so it will be different everytime.

You can use anything you like from my maps. The "test pointer" map might give you a few ideas. Click on my signature logo.

I recomend not putting players in jail = worst gametype ever invented for video gaming.

weeee im in jail. lol

maybe a pyramid scheme where the players load into the rooms in pairs like u said. fight to the death - Each one that dies moves down and backwards to be pitted against another loser. The winners move upward to fight against other champions. When a single player is left at the top that player wins and the round ends and it starts over again.

their pretty good actually.

And the jail thing isnt as bad as you think... basicly ive made a 'big brother' type map with tests and stuff, the allies start with either an advantage if they take a short cut through a puzzle or have to work their way fighting the axis through the mao. . .
