script to change server.cfgs

Post by Gold »

I did a script that changes from one map rotation to another.
It seems to be working fine except it will only work while i am in the server. What i did was add the script to the global folder and call it in the last map of the rotation with exec global/server2.cfg and put it on timer since we rotate each map for 12 minutes..720.When it gets to the last map in the rotation of server2.cfg i have that map running it back to server.cfg which keeps the loop going. What i would like is any ideas of how to do this without me or another admin having to be present in the server before it will work.Using $player stufftext "rcon exec server2.cfg" Probally pretty simple for someone that knows more about rcon than i do.Thats sure not my greatest skill but i am trying to learn more.Any ideas will be appreciated.

Yes i do run more than 30 - but im running Spearhead maybe its different.

If you exec/ from the mapscript why do you need to be present? stufftext wont work if no one is on the server.
