Is it possible?
Out of idle curiosity I tried importing the Dawnville.map that comes with
the CoD mapping tools but it failed.
So is it possible to edit a CoD map in MoHRadiant?
Import a CoD .map into MoHRadiant?

Unlikely, because RAD is set up for a .map to function in a mohaa game.. where as a .map for COD would be 'scripted' differently (.maps are just txt files telling the game where to place things)

but surley there must be a way to import just the basic brushes of a CoD map and not the extras like patch mesh terrain?
Obviously the textures wouldn't be there or the models, but the structural brushes would be.
is there a way to strip the extras out, other than editing the map file in notepad, and leave the structural brushes there and import that to MohRad?

Not that i know of, Tho im not a COD mapper.... open both a COD and MOH .map file and compare how they look. If they are the same when it comes to brushes then it should work. If they are not then its still passable with some sort of converter but i have never seen/heard of one. have you tried searching? I know its passable to convert bsp's to .maps so i would have thought with the right scripting its passable to convert brushes from cod to moh or vase versa.

It is not easy, you have to edit the .map file, with a text editor, and change all the textures to MOHAA's common/caulk. Then you can run it in MOHAATools and retexture everything.
