This is incredable

Google does it again! You can cruise around the cities at a street level by pressing your arrow keys. Can't wait till till they have more cities.

Any ideas on how a satilite gets these pics?

They are not from satilite images, They are video pictures taken with HD panarama camera rigs at street level.

yea, should have thought about that for 10 seconds, you can see the shadow of the vehicle in some shots

Well I guess the next step will be guys in white cover-alls with google printed on the back wearing panaramic head cams to come running through our homes
