troubles to connect path

Post by proximo »

[quote="jv_map"]You may be able to solve this using the route system for bots (make a special action which basically is walk through the barb wire)... but that would require every destination (bombnode, sniper, camp etc) at each side to have $route or $routelist keys. :?

Can you help mee with script of a "special action" something like special_crouch.scr or anything else.

thanks

I have a feeling that could take a while to test all those

If I have a free day or so, i'll see what I can do...

Nobody sane is going to d/l that many. you should test them as you make them, they'll probably go unfinished now.

Well I've downloaded them all

First issue: The proximo.scr is not the same in all pk3's. Only 1 of them is selected based on naming conventions when you have 2 or more maps in your main. This may cause some thread's to fail (i.e. the addbot: thread).

Tip: You have released the full maps together with the updated scripts and paths. As Lizardkid indicated this would require many and big downloads on each update. If you release the scripts (and maps) and later release update pk3's with only updated scripts/paths this would minimise download time and size.

Anyway a big thanks for releasing the scripts, will try them as soon as I can

I have not had time to download all the map but I did try one of them . Seemed fine I didn't see any problems with it . I will probably download more of them later . I am still working on getting my site done but I may add them to my downloads section and of course give you credit for your work .

I tested bob_carentan and Rockbound. They're OK, however, the FPS on Carentan dropped from the usual 90 to about 5. :? And the teams are never even! It's always like 9 axis vs 7 allies... :?

Apart from that, I liked it. :)

I set the value (level.alliesbots = 10 and level.axisbots = 10) in bob_carentan.scr.

I tested and teams are 10 vs 10 and fps 25.

the map looks ok to me.

thanks anyway.

Are these your maps or just made into bot maps by you ? I won't have any maps that don't give the proper people credit for thier work .
