huh... you must have a lower level comp..

it plays great for me, the gameplay looks sound and idea are all there, it's the perfect game, probably my next MOH.

i didnt say anything about my pc. My pc can run it fine. i mean the "way u move" is just horrible.

I think it is bluddy buggy and boring, the idea is good but it was hardly fun. modding wise u cud convert it into alot of things but i wud say oonly with a SDK a MDK i cnat see it taking alot of changes.

After +25 hours of playing it...

For a demo this game is simply amazing. I have not been addicted to a title like this in forever. It really has the best of everything all in one package.

Only big problem/bug atm is the in game server browsers lag. Seeing as ASE will not support this game as you have to have an account to login within BF2, they need to fix this quick. You can still use ASE but cant join from it.

When the tools hit the servers the modding possibilities should be virtually limitless based off of what we have seen of them so far.

never tried ASE but i cant see what's wrong with GS. i usually just use the server browser from it, it works fine for me.

How about the fact that it sends the URLs of the websites you view to its makers?

All the time?

*deletes the 89.7 gig of warez*

That sucks.

how is it different from the crap they spammed out before?

the originals of this series were...

A) poorly designed
B) featured a vehicle to foot solider ration of 5:1(in favor of umm vehicles)
C) poorly designed
D) featured the worst 'feel' of any shooter ever
E) poorly designed

Dont get me wrong, my friends 13 year old lil brother loved em, but really, what does he know? He just liked flying in the planes and stuff, but overall it was a pretty pathetic 'flight simulator'

basicaly they had a little of everything, and excelled at nothing, so how is this one different? It doesnt seem like thier philosophy has changed.

on another note, if bf2 does turn out to be 'the next great game' or whatever, it will just further illuminate how much they ditched moh, starting around the time of the orignial battlefield games... I mean... I havent heard MOHPA mentioned anywhere in a long long time without the word 'sucks' attached to it. EA doesnt deserve a winner =)

I agree, BF1 series was SUCKY beyond anything besides Wolfenstein 3D...

I compared them and this has

better graphics
balanced vehicles
good FPS gameplay (with controls very much like MOH, no leans though, and not as sudden)
Excellent simulation of flight and driving (3 diff perspectives for each vehicle)
Amazing netcode (I can play on servers where i have 180 ping and it works as if i had 100 in MOH)
good kits (each soldier has a special purpose and power, there's no one size fits all like in BF1942)

I could go on and on, put it simply, BF1's idea was cool, but everything else about it sucked. BF2 keeps the idea and design, but balances, improves looks and play, and basically ups everything BF1 didnt have,

I'm pretty sure it's just about how pings are calculated. The true latency stays the same.

Then there must be a whole lotta Wes Coast/Central servers and they all must be running T3 connections.

But you may be right.

it still seems to be a vehicle game the couple of servers I tried most of the guys wanted to fly the chopper or drive some kind of vehicle not much else . I did find one server with 3 guys working together though but mainly the objectives where secondary to blowing the crap out of someone .

I get on Ventrilo with my friends in Violentrcity clan a lot, So i can usually pick a commander spot and have them be in a squad or two and coordinate well.

It beats the tar out of the unorganized 13 year olds.

addictive

Post by tltrude »

Well the singleplayer mode in the demo is very addictive. But, There are too many gameplay options for my liking. I thought I had a very good computer and vid card untill this demo came out. It strains my system to its limits.

Well I got a new system and I have updated everything form the bios to the vid cards and tried a few tweaks but although I can play on my own server by myself for hours and hours when I join a server I last maybe 1/2 hour or less before my computer freezes and I have to reboot .
