EDIT: AHHHH LOTS OF BUTTONS!!! lol ill figure it out eventually... that tutorial didnt help me, it brought me down a dead end street and it even said "this will not work on Blender 3D" or some crap like that AFTER they made me do all kinds of cool stuff lol

Thanx sumo, but now I'm kind of stuck as I really havent learned The GIMP yet ( GNU Image Manipulation Program, kind of like Photoshop, but open source and available in Linux ).
This in combination with my inability to draw textures makes me think the texturing may take a while to get like I want it

I just use photos and the clone brush a lot in psp. I have ps but am not very familiar with it. Thats the way to texture is with real world pics.

Ive tried using some texture library to get the right feeling, but so far it still looks terrible. Having problems duplicating the rivets and patterns ot an airplane surface
Problem is I cant find any good photos. Lots of photos available, but most in bad lighting or low quality...
