Ah you probably downloaded the 0.9 beta which is more than a year old :P (but still is the latest release). The new beta is much better and will be out soon.

Regarding your questions:

Gravity is simulated correctly, airplanes can glide tremendous distances without engine (up to about 20x their height). As long as you have some speed you can still steer the aircraft as well.

It is not bf, the gear doesn't come out automatically, you make it come out by using shift + down (and shift + up to retract). This only works properly if you have always run on (sorry it might still be incorrect in the readme  ).

As the gear controls caused some confusion in the 0.9 beta I changed it so in the 1.9 beta you toggle gear with q (holster).

Ah cheers m8 but it can be seen on the site as well :P game is AA obviously as all other MoH versions aren't worth such effort.

I have to say JV has done an amazing job on the physics, i have flown real aircraft and these definately feel like the real thing, this is a realtime combat flight sim built in the quake engine - a truly awesome job with a lot of potential!

SpearHead and BreakThrough users will be pleased to know i flew a few sorties for JV in a few Hex edited maps

I took some video footage ingame during some Combat testing, excuse the quality as i used Fraps and then put the clips through Windows Movie Maker, its 15Mb.

must be the new version, couldnt do some of that stuff on 1,9 :P
but very nice nonetheless!

however for MOH filming, i suggest demo-ing the places you wan to film, then going over them with fraps later.

cob, looked real good .

if you want to get past that fraps ''copyrite burn'' and 30 second trial recording try this freewhare screen video capture....

CamStudio

it records anything on your screen. you'd proably have to alt+enter your screen while in mohaa to get it to work but it has many more options than the trial fraps program (screen size dragging, unlimited recording time..) i used to use fraps then someone turned me onto this freeware program. great also for making animated .gif files from vids. you could also use this for video tuts as it shows your mouse cursor.

I like the music in that video... nice touch.

Anyway, I have both Fraps and CamStudio, and I would definately say that Fraps is better. Maybe its different on other people's computers, but Fraps records at so much higher fps than CamStudio (ex, Fraps records at 30, and CamStudio does about 5 or less), with some options that CamStudio doesn't have. And the full version of Fraps is undoubtedly worth the 30 bucks or so. They both have their pros and cons, but I'm a Fraps guy :)

Oh yea the mod looks sweet too. I'll have to download it.
