sounds like a corrupt file to me... those params usually compile the light stage in minutes on a medium map, on a small one it's negligible... especially if it compiles on Seere's end and not on yours.

try redownloading the SDK and MBuilder again. just remember where you put them on your HDD.

on a side note: have you had this problem before or did it just start? could you compile maps before?

No this is my first time trying this mapping stuff and first time trying to compile............I deleated all my SDK files and reloaded them from the pack I got off of the official MOHAA EA games site and I stillhave the sme problem............Right now I am just concentrating on getting the map finished then I will worry about the lighting............when I compile it with bounce 0 and nogrid with an ambianlight at 40 40 40 it does not look too bad..............but we will see later when I fnish it..............Thank you for all your patience with this mapping NOOB
