Ah. so Luckyboy.
The question is .... Is it possible for maploader to be upgraded with this feature to assign private map source d/l address? Is this something you may consider?

I know it's old, but I've just found out about this awesome program and wondered if anyone has taken up where trooper/James left off?
I see fron this post
http://mapdownloads.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=56 that he has gotten too busy.
Is someone still taking map requests, etc?
Very nice program, makes it too easy.

yes he quit working on it but it's open-source so if some adventurous soul is willing to hit it up it's still open for construction.
Although the problems he was facing were with Xfire, i believe he ironed out the crashes but he had problems getting it to interface with Xfire correctly, xfire wouldn't recognize MOH was running, so it couldnt clock hours or recieve messages. Probably something to bring up to the Xfire tecchies if you felt so compelled. I'm sure they'd either be able to release a fix in the new patch or tell you how to fix it.

i did start work on an improved version of mapdownloader but had to give it up due to the ammount of time it was taking from my life. i may continue with it some day but its all down to if it interests me enough.
the x-fire problem is easy to fix- just dont quit mapdownloader. that way x-fire recognises mapdownloader as the game you are actually playing and every second mapdownloader is left open, xfire recognises as time spent playing.
