There is no obvious super huge brush or stacking of similiar copied and pasted brushes?

I dont see any huge brushes in my map that aren't sliced apart.
Could it be caused by something else?
and if this problem is solved will it fix the .map file because If I cant get my bsp im screwed.
ladder

That error is normally caused by a real long ladder, or a railling -- anything with a long brush and a lot of repeated brushes touching it. If you still can't find it, you can turn sections of the map into prefabs and delete them, to narrow it down, until the map compiles.
And yes, that can cause the problem with the bsp not compiling.
Is there anything else after that error in the log? -- sometimes the forum wont print the whole thing in one post.
Ps: You also have another minor error -- Entity 0, Brush 1357: mirrored plane.

Ok, I fixed the mirrored plane. As for the MAX_POINTS_ON_WINDING...well, I'm breaking down the parts of my maps into prefabs and saving them.
What i will do is save the whole map in a big group of prefabs and then transfer them to a new .map file...would that fix the problem? because that would be the easiest thing for me to do at this point.

I have fixed similiar problem with that method.

Should be something like a row of fence posts, roof beams, staves of a ladder, where (too) many vertices of these brushes sit on a long edge of another.

I think the problem might be in one of my gun racks...
The reason it is so hard to find is because I dont have ladders or fences in my map. I DO have collumns that go up to the roof, but they arent touch other verticies and they never casued the error before. I deleted my elevator shaft, that wasnt it so i put that back in. I found lots of little rail-like connectors in one of my rooms as a result of CSG subtracting...I deleted thos e and pulled the walls together...
I have some long steps going up to another platform that I think I merged the vertices together in a bunch...i think my problem is with the verticies because I havn't added or have any long brushes.

I think you have recognized the problem, as said by others... MAX_POINTS_ON_WINDING generally relates to a ladder (most comon cause of this error)
But could well be to do with your steps, the error simply relates to too many vertices touching too many others.
The remedy to this is to split the brush/brushes up to ensure not too many are sharing the same plane.
For instance if this was a ladder (in your case I know it isn't but the reasoning is the same) you could have say....40 rungs on a ladder, now this would produce this error but if you split the brush of each side of the ladder then the brushes sharing the same vertices are 1/2 or if you split the two sides again 1/4.
Focus on your steps, I think this is where your problem lies.
Good luck.

Cool, Here are some
plugins as a reward for learning so much in a short amount of time. One can fix bad brushes, and the other can make shapes, like stairs. Put them in a folder named "Plugins" in your MOHAATools folder and they will show up in the menu bar.
