since we are using this as a reference guide...it can be done one of two ways...

grouped by type...walls, stone, road, ground...etc...but you need to include where the texture originally came from...if you don't then it's pretty useless...

in their original folders...from the pk3 file...this would be the easiest to do as all you need to do is show the picture...

as for copyright issues...I think you could get by as long as you compress the image and make it smaller...and put a "Copyright EA...no textures may be taken from here without permission from it's copyright holder."
if you do that I think you'll be clear...

ok - been working on things for a while - here is a link to a test page for a texture reference guide - it lists / shows all the textures from the common directory :: http://www.planetmedalofhonor.com/mohra ... ommon.html
Take a look and tell me what u think

You dont have to read the shaders if you leave them in their origanal folders
and have it let them change from Common to Algeirs or german ot what ever

give them a list
and let them pick an area

Surgeon you not being in the US you can get away with more than we can
being in the US as far as copyrights go
By the way the page looks fine

looks excellent...that's exactly how I would've done it...

just because he's not in the US doesn't mean he doesn't have to follow the US copyright laws...after all..the servers reside here in the US...

Best to use is probably ACDSee 4

1st You can produce html-pages from the extracted folders

2nd You can also print them on your printer with a tool called "print contact sheet", wich I prefer (especially without 2nd monitor)

make sure you say that all image belong to EA and 2012
and that you are doing this as a nonprofit type of help

Here is a thought:

As you may know, any custom textures in your downloaded pk3's will show up in the editor. My fear is that I may use one of those textures and not notice that it is a custom one. And, when my map is finally released to the public it may end up with missing textures!!!!!!

Great work done, though I prefer having a printed version.

It would be perfect, if you'd find someone who could make a searchable database out of it.

I made a txt-file with all(?) texture-names plus their keywords separeted
by tabs (96kB) which I could mail you for this or sth else, if you like.

Head on over to the "Beta" testing forum/topic and check out my "MOHAA: Texture Viewer". Don't worry about copyright laws, there are no textures with it.
