to make things even shorter.
This will be the BEST engine and game so far EVER developed. Im not saying that the game play will be great. because i dont like games with horror in them like RTCW. But comparing it to light textures details sounds models and the best part "Copile time" it will be the best game out there. I think there should be a WWII total mod conversion for doomIII.
Thats why I want to get an early scoop on all of it. I want to be the next jv_map (well for doomIII any way). 8) I hope you dont mind JV?

there's nothing like blowing ur own trumpet JV, but as no1 else is doin it u may aswell do it urself,
i think people seemed 2 of missed exactly just how much hard work you (and other people) put into your (their) map and with that recognition going unawarded, it's not like mappers get paid for this kinda thing, and for them 2 spend god knows how ever many hours a night typing away at script or draggin and realignin brushes, a little thanks wouldn't go amiss people
pat on the back 4 JV

and others out there, (please note there is no favouritism in this post, it's just that JV's bot map is the 1 every1's talkin about but no1's praisin about)

Well thanks man ( I hope you were also thinking of me when making that post)

JV does deserve a pat on the back. I am not afraid to say this but I personally think JV is the 'best' mapper/scripter out there even better then MP1944. I will also take this time to aknowledgte surgeon for making this site possible. Without this site I didnt even know how to apply textures. And thanks to MOHRox who has done a wonderfull job of providing answers to what may seem like dum questions over at TMT. And others that i havent mentioned you have my gratitude. I am not kissing up.

without tryin 2 look like the biggest brown-nose on here, i also appreciate all the work people have put in2 everything on here, down 2 the last person who offered 2 put the kettle on, but if i start mentioning everybodies name on here and miss 1 person, they'll hate me 4ever,
i'd rather have lot's of people who didn't like me 4 a reason than 1 person who didn't bcus i 4got 2 mention there name, and of course the gratitude extends 2 u Yarik, now get and put that kettle on

The new Doom / Q4 engine supports fully interactive environments, objects have cognitive and persistent AI, 3D textures, programmable shader support, real dynamic lighting and shade. These are just a few of the things I recall. The features of the XBox graphics chip were basically designed for John Carmack and are included in the GFX and ATI 9700pro video cards and are used in the new engine. It blows away anything you have seen before.
Unfortunately, it will take some serious horsepower to fully see what the engine can do. It's also going to add a lot of time to level design and modeling efforts. There will probably be a version of Radiant, but for real serious level design you are going to need Maya.

Nope! True! (well exactly one minute might not be true...)
We won't have to deal with this VIS part that calculates what will be seen an what wont. Instead all of this are done while you play the game.

From what I've heard from sources (who have been accurate about a lot of things) the Doom3 Radient is very good...but we will have to wait and see
