I can't use MBuilder and use the "Free For All/Team DM/Round Based" setting . The reason is that the path in the resulting .bat file is wrong (might result in your error). I just use Single Player and copy the file to /dm manually, or make my own .bat file if i know i will run it many times.

I've also tried singleplayer still doesnt work :x

I just don't understand what the hell is going on with it.

Could you post the content of the "Batch File" textarea in MBuilder. That way we might see if there is something wrong with it.

as JV said there ought to be more output.

I don't get it either. Maybe something's wrong with the map? If you haven't already, try to compile a new/different .map file to see if the same thing happens.

One other thing:
Your Map Dir: ...MAIN\MAPS\DM <- so this is where your .map files are located?

note: According to the batchfile the "Map Source Directory" is also where Mbuilder puts your new bsp file. So if you have it set to ...maps\dm and choose the 'Deathmatch-gametype' option in Mbuiler, it automatically updates its batchfile to Copy "C:\PROGRA~1\EAGAME~1\MOHAA\main\maps\dm\dm\.bsp". (See the batch text in the bottom left window in Mbuilder after you've set the gametype option).
Copy you .mapfiles to ...main\maps and try setting your Map Source Directory to ...main\maps and see what happens.

Ah right the max_surface_verts error is causing the problems.

God only knows how you managed to get that one . Never seen it before :?.

no wonder:

error:
MAX_SURFACE_VERTS

So that's the problem, not your mbuilder settings. I guess you have too big a patch in your map. Beats me how Quantum managed to compile it w/out solving this error first. Temporarily remove your (terrain) patch and try to compile. If it works you need to fix the patch(es).

Ok I removed the terrain but im still getting the same area is it cos i got loads of brushes actually as planks on my bridge as below? if so im working on a custom texture.

Also when i compile other maps i get the same error as outlined above (except for the MAX_SURFACE_VERTS) wot the smeg is goin on

Is there any major differnces between your batch file and mine?
Copy it in here! ( the text in the Batch file box in MBuilder ).
