War is the most despicable, horrible and most perverse matter I know!!
Because of this, I don't prefer games that try to simulate this subject as realistic as possible. The realism stops anyway in the moment when s/o is respawning. If I'd want to play something realistic, my PC should atleast switch off for ever when I'm shot...
The only reason why I like ego shooters is their kind of gameplay, and I don't mind whether it's coming with a sience fiction or stone age background. So, I'm looking forward to Doom3

we shouldnt forget the war. if we don't know at least a fraction of what war is like, we can never avoid it

I don't forget about war (should/could we move to another forum? )
even playing JediKnight2... And I don't think, playing MOHAA makes me wanting war (or did GWB play too much MOHAA? Probably rather "Oil tycoon"?! ).
But also, I don't believe, that MOHAA helps avoiding war, because, then, you must also accept the converse: Someone who's a great MOHAA player will then believe he must also be a successful (and surviving) soldier. This might be one of his last errors

But: I don't want to argue! We probably all know, that war is nothing desirable, and that's important.

Mohaa Rox if it wasnt for Doom you wouldnt be playing FPS games as you know them online.
Its one of the 1st FPS games to be playable online and be moddable.

The demo is still out shouldnt be to hard to find ,but when you get it you will realise you need a new computer

i know where your coming from rox... especialy RTCW... that game sucks... there werent zombies in WWII... there arent zombies at all... how gay can that get? i like to play games with real weapons of war such as:

socom us navy seals
Americas Army (still downloading it with my pathetic 56k... omg)
Moh, Moh Underground, mohaa, moh frontline, moh spearhead, and the upcoming moh rising sun and i heard a rumor of a mohaa2(did i miss one?).

and many more war games.. i plan to purchase doom3 even though it isnt historically correct or anything to do with history at all... but because of this great engine i continueously hear about... when this game comes out i doubt my ge4 will be able to handle it... i hear see posts where people are saying they got a ge4 and cant wait till d3 comes out... the only reason D3 hasnt come out yet is because the only video cards they can come up with wont run on windows.... if you do get D3 your going to have to set the graphx really low

yea, i MAY buy doom3 because of the gr8 engine, but my comp may burst.

what engine pacific assault going to use? quake 3 again? or it might switch to doom3. that would keep everyone happy

i like playing games with lots of action and fighting alongside other people. i got halflife because of the grunts. i got opposing force because of the grunts on your side. i really like the ai in medal of honor. its just so cool to me when someone with a bar puts his gun overtop of a crate and blindly shoots towards the enemy.

I guess My prediction was right on the death to Quake3 engine.
With the new WW2 games. And BF1942 engines seems pretty awesome (no lag, hate the hands and gameplay itself). Doom3 engine is really good. My pc gets about 15 FPS with the demo. THE DEMO.
That thing is pretty cool to be moded. And UT2003 game sucks but engine is off the hook.
