You can set a bot's name if you use the addbot command in spawnhandler_default.scr instead of automatic bot spawning.
Example:
local.mybotnum = waitthread level.jvbot_modscript[spawnhandler]::addbot "Private Ryan" allies
Or do a search, it was asked before

.
Disabling bot respawning will be possible in the next release.

This combined with increased BOT skill levels will make the bots exelenter ( more exelent? ) than they already are.

One addition I just dreamed up:
Make the bots able to handle more objective types.
1) Get to a specific point ( for this to work they would have to trigger the multiple trigger around that spot and "want" to go to that spot ).
2) Trigger. I have not tried to set up a plant node against a trigger_use not connected to a bomb. It might work as is, but if it does not: I'd like to see it.
3) Kill the hostage. Make them look for and kill an AI character ( Maby a BOT ? ).
4) Destoy / Protect any object. ( Say an object that has no bomb, but if it is destroyed by nades or bullets; an objective is completed ).

Okey, a new version coming!hooray!
I would like to se that if you kill or are to be killed by a a bot that your or he scores.
When i press tab i see non players besides me, can you fix so the bots show up?

I noticed a cool thingy I thought I'd share with you.
..the enemy threw a grenade and a teammate-bot threw himself upon it to save my life ( I didn't notice it right away and was walking towards it).
I finally can play one of my favorite games offline: MOH (with bots). I am very gratefull JV_Map for all your work and I hope they will keep developing. Not everybody has cable and a low phonebill in contradiction to the believe of many gamedevelopers...

Could you make it so that the bots on each team don't have to be the same amount? For example I want the allies to have 2 bots and the axis to have 4, can you do that? Or is it already possible? (it probably is ... sorry

)

I would like to see more senarios made available, like assasination, steal documents, rescue friendlys etc etc.
Once again these bots are great and you have done a fantastic job JV.

Hi everybody, i'm making a new map that supports the jv bots. If you are testing the map you always see things of the bots that can be beter. Or things that i miss. One thing is that the bot need to be a real player. So if i press the tab button i will see the bots and how much kills he made etc. You also see that with the bots of quake 3, battelfield 1942. I think that will make the jv bots better.

medic bots will be fun also if it's an object map is it posible to make so if an ai got killed his dead body will stay there...also a leader ai so that rest of the ai will listen to him ..also i want the ai to talk more...and that the MP commands will apply to them when you say follow me he will follow you..

I've seen the 1.1 bots shoot and throw grenades at the same time... really annoying... you peak out - se a bot preparing to lob a nade at you - you think "Ha ha, one headshot coming up!" - The bot gets a headshot on you from nowhere, he does not even have a gun in his hands....

Hmm yeah I know, not sure if I can do anything against that, but I'll try nonetheless
