how did u do the screenshot?
i'd say the tga ought to be okay even if it looked wrong in game
if u turn up gamma, for example, the tga/s are still dark...

I think the vid card memory gets all fuzzy when it's too heat... and when a screenshot is taken I think simply the frame buffer in the vid card is saved to disk... hence it looks crap too (but different).
I will be returning the card only after the weekend

If it were me, I would put in a paper tube to the main fan intake to draw air accross the video chip and turn down the quality settings in the game. Just for the weekend.

improvisation is always a way to go, but for those people at home who don't have an empty yoghurt pot, a toilet roll, 4 milk bottle tops, and sticky back plastic, just try blowing on it

Step1: Load shotgun
Step2: Aim at computer
Step3: Pull trigger
Step4: make excuse to family as to the destruction of the PC
Step5: go by a better one
Step6: use it
Step7: if problem accurs again, repeat steps 1 - 7

Interesting idea Dragon, but I doubt if it would work for me
Anyways after three weeks Sapphire was as kind as to send me a 9600 Pro for replacement
