Funny how it seems that the only people interested in this level are the ones who helped with SF....LoL

Afternoon, dooguesgoober4.
The "Storage Facility" map ended up pretty good. However the map was labelled "Storage Facility" so everyone knew that they were mapping a Storage Facility

.
What about this map? The only reference to "Sanubia" I can find is on something about a level in Final Fantasy

.
Is it a stand-alone castle, perhaps? Or currently a single building inside part of a town (to be built)? Maybe a V2 manufacturing facility, partially under a hill?
Is this also to be a DM, OBJ or single-player map? Or all three? two?
I have a feeling that a dutch windmill would probably be a little out-of-place in this map, so a little creative-guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Scronty

That is the beauty of this map....we dont really know what we are supposed to be mapping (a fort?) so therefore we have to use our imaginations to come up with something relative and fun......with that said....use your imagination and surprise us all.......

Exactly, when i opened up the map, i asked doogs what the theme was... he said practically the same thing. So i looked closer at what was of the map so far, and just added a building to go along with it! It's not to hard

Just be creative. I thought it kinda looked like a quake map.. but that's what i thought

Its not that they are not interested,
I guess the really experienced guys keep
watching what you guys produce and are
happy to see the progress
Everyone started with a room and a light.

Afternoon, Snipes.
I should only be another couple of days with it.
Spent a little time getting rid of the compiling errors (never used Edit->Find Entity/Brush before

. Quite a handy feature).
I'm not adding too much at this point.
Cheers,
Scronty

I would also like to take a shot at this map too...I like the idea of a bunch of decent mappers coming togeather to make a map. You guys by the looks of it did a heck of a job on the SF. I call the map after snipes.

I think you guys mostly have a different approach to making a level then me...
Once I have an idea, I sketch out basic flows and rooms, then I set about designing alot of the structure overall, before getting into more detailed things....
I downloaded the map and had a look... but without some idea of what the intentions for it are, I just have no clue as to what I would be able to add to it =) but then again, most people prolly have more experience then me anyway =)

Well, without having a set theme to begin with, it just plays out as, when you get it, you just run around in it and ask yourself, what would be good here?

Exactly zip, thats why these kind of maps can be challenging yet extremely fun...you never know what to expect when someone works on it. Everyone brings their own unique ideas and expertise into the levels.
And I am very glad that we are getting a few different mappers instead of the usual 5 or 6 that worked on SF....lots of different heads working on different things, makes a very exciting piece of work!
