tnx blue,i wanted 2 reply to ur post while replying at the freakin computer problems thread also. it seemed i replied twice to my thread and forgot this one :oops:

anyways,
i wouldnt know how fast or slow the sat connection is as i have never seen one :cry: .infact ,i have never seen a fast connection :cry: :cry:
im just stuck with this damned 56kbs modem that is somehow even slower than a 28.8 kbs modem .however ,i thnk u can combine the sat connection with any other one (modem ,dsl ,......) .there is the multilink option in the properties of the connection file .
does any1 think it is possible to get sat connection without getting a service 2 install it for u (i.e do it urself).
cause u are always recieving ,y cant u recieve internet then?

Ok, I think the satellite connections are are around 500kbs...

yeah,so i have heard.
but how would u actually recieve internet data via sat .
i mean all the company does is tell ur pc how 2 recieve the data .it i dont think the company tells the sat how to send would it?

I would think that it works like cable or satellite TV, you recieve the signal and you have the approriate authorization and you can decode it, or something like that... :? That signal gets sent everywhere, just a matter of recieving and decoding...

yeah thats what i thought also .ive been trying to find out how to "recieve" it properly but i dont think i have enoguh info to make it on my own .prolly need some help from friends ,and after i recieve i still have to decode (hope thats the easy part)
