not the name of the texture!? So it has to be the name of the folder its in like mytextures not the name of the texture itself??

yes! you might have hundreds of shaders in that one mytextures.shader file and hundreds of textures in the folder mytextures. Take a look at e.g. any original shader and the corresponding folder...

Ok, I changed it but sadly it still doesnt work. It still looks like that black and blue checkerboard.

did u reload textures in radiant?

then
u now have:
main/textures/mytextures/siding.jpg (without 'e')
and
main/scripts/mytextures.shader with

Code: Select all

textures/mytextures/siding 
{ 
qer_keyword siding 
qer_keyword wall 
qer_keyword wood 
surfaceparm wood 
{ 
map textures/mytextures/siding.jpg

Thanks I think it was that I named my shader wrong cuz now I got it so its working thanks a bunch Wacko!!!
